LANGUAGE:
The history of evolution of
language tells us that every language
in the beginning is in the form of
dialects, and then after many
centuries through different cultural
agents, natural elements and by
continuous interaction and customs
takes the shape of language.
LITERATURE:
When the people in the society
express there sensations, ideas in a
nice way to others then literature
come into place.

National language of Pakistan.
Amalgamation of different languages
(Arabic, Farsi, Sansikrat, Hindi)
In the beginning it was called “RIKHTA”
Urdu is a Turkish word meaning “LASHKAR”
Urdu being National language is not the official
Source of communication.

PUNJABI:






Mostly spoken in Punjab
Huge number of people speak Punjabi in
Pakistan. (48%)
Ancient language
Posses huge vocabulary
“Sufis” played important role in its evolution

Mian Muhammad Bkhsh, Khwaja Ghulam
Fareed, Sultan Bahoo.
SINDHI:
Sindhi is spoken in Sindh
 Sindhi literature was promoted in every era
e.g: Somru era, Sama era, Kalhora era e.t.c
 The Holy Quran was translated into Sindhi for
the first time by the order of “Abdullah Bin
Umar Hayari” ruler of Mansoora
 Great Sindhi Sufi poets:
Shah Latif, Sachal Sarmast.

PUSHTO:








Pushto is spoken in K.P.K and in tribal areas
More then 12 million people speak pushto
Pushto is an ancient language and Pukhtoon who are an
ancient Nation, speak Pushto
It has many dialects with respect to different tribes
With respect to difference in dialects Pushto is divided
into two groups:
1: Northern which is also called Yosuf Zai dilect
2: Southern which is given the name of Khatak

BALOCHI:
In Pakistan Balochi is spoken in Balochistan
 Balochi speakers and Baloch race beside
Balochistan spread over Iran & Afghanistan
 Changed form of Persian
 Famous for Romantic Ballads

Ahmad Jigar, Qazi Abdurrahim Sabir, Mir Pir
Muammad Zuberani, Ulfat Naseem e.t.c

HINDKO:
Mostly spoken in those areas of Pakistan
which extends in the north from Hazara
Division to the South West of Dera Ismail
Khan
 The ancient history of Hindko litrature is
not known because of wars and other
struggles
 Famous poets:
Muhammed Deen Mayon, Sain Shada, Saifi
Shah, Riza Hamdani e.t.c

BAROHI:





Spoken in Qallat Division, Balochistan
Barohi are the most ancient individuals in Qallat
Posses small vocabulary
It absorbs words of different languages, e.g:
Urdu, English e.t.c
Famous poets:
Molana Abdulla Darkhwani, Gull Muhammad,
Qaisar Khan, Askari Baloch, Abdul Qadir, Mir
Akram Mengal e.t.c
SARAIKI:






The areas of Kohe Suleman and South Sindh which are
separated by Jehlum and Chinab are considered the
areas of Saraiki or Multani language
Multan has been always the center of culture and
civilizations
Knowledge and Literature flourished there
Sufia Kiram played a vital role in its promotion
It also absorbs the effects of different literatures

Khwaja Ghulam Fareed, Molana Nooruddin Miskeen,
Shah Nasiruddin Naqshbandi e.t.c
KASHMIRI:




Kashmiri language is spoken in Kashmir and
also in adjoined areas
Islam spread in Kashmir by the way of Iran
Iranian influence can be seen in Kashmiri
literature and culture

Hubba Khatoon, Mahmood Gami, Abdul
Ahad, Mahjoor Kasmiri e.t.c
BALTI:





Baltistan is a beautiful part of Northern areas of
Pakistan
To its North locates Hunza, towords North lies
the province of China Sankh Khyang
Balti is basically the branch of Tibbati language
Religion has great influence on it

Hasni, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Hasan

BAROSHKI





The state of Hunza is a beautiful valley b/w the
high mountains of Kohistan
Hunza is naturally divided into three parts
Each part has different language
In the Central part Baroshki is spoken

Gulamuddin Ghulam, Fida Ali Fida, Allama
Nasiruddin Nasir e.t.c
SHINA:
Shina language is understand and spoken through out
Gilgit Baltistan
 It is an ancient language
 Due to its interaction with different Nations it has
absorbed many foreign words
 Its poetry begins with folk songs
 Famous poets:
Akhon Muhammad Raza, Wazir Ahmad Khan, Pir
Gholam Nasir Chilasi e.t.c

KHOWAR:







In the Northern areas, Chitral consist of many valleys
One of its valley is Bumborait, which is famous for the
Kelash tribes and they have a very unique culture
Kelash are considered to be the most ancient people
Khowar is spoken in most of the areas of Chitral
Its literature begins with folk songs
These were not in the written form but orally
mamorized
