And they were baptized.” • Acts 8:38, “So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. • The mode of baptism is by immersion. Sprinkling or any other form of baptism is not Scriptural. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. 15 And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” So she persuaded us. • Acts 16:31-34 31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. 34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household. The pattern in the in the early church • Acts 18:8 8 Then Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his household. Romans 6:1-10--Identified with Christ *In Christ we have a New Lifestyle 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
