Lecture Capture RFP – The process
• Started with eight vendors, ended with four potential candidates.
• 30 test group participants.
• Questions to Participants:
– What strategies do you seek in implementing a LC solution on your campus? What necessities do you seek?
7
Procedures in creating a content retention policy
• Current WKU status of recordings:
– 70,431 lecture capture recordings on virtual server.
– Utilizing 4 ½ TB out of 7 TB of storage space.
– Faculty and students typically make asynchronous recordings.
8
• No automation in deleting recordings.
• Issue in establishing a routine notification to faculty concerning course maintenance/deletion.
• Faculty are limited with creating live streaming of recordings within classrooms.
• Questions to Participants:
– How does your university handle deletion procedures? Care to share any polices?
