How can I best word my job application? What are the connotations of
the words I choose?
Job Application Instructions
 You are applying to the new hotel/restaurant in
Wysox, the Ramada Inn.
 DO NOT put your social security # down (for our
class). But you should learn to memorize it.
 Fill in the rest of the information to the best of your
ability.
 Pay attention to SPELLING and PUNCTUATION
 Be careful with your word choice – Does “I hate my
boss” or “My boss and I had a conflict of interest”
have a better CONNOTATION?
 SAVE it, and when finished, e-mail it to me.
