Beeton´s Christmas
Annul in 1887.
Beeton's Christmas Annual was a paperback magazine printed in
England yearly between 1860 and
1898, founded by Samuel Orchart
Beeton. The November 1887 issue contained a novel by Arthur Conan
Doyle entitled A Study in Scarlet[1] which introduced the characters

Charles Doyle, father of Arthur Conan
Doyle.
Ward Lock & Co was a publishing house in the

The second edition was published in 1889 with illustrations of George
Hutchinson.
