NATO demand: Shifting focus from Balkan to ISAF, increase contribution to ISAF; EU demand: Participating in operations in Africa. WAY AHEAD, CHALLANGES Supply NATO High Readiness units with necessary equipment; Carry out affiliation to NRDC Italy in 3 phase; Keep the personnel, help the soldiers’ reintegration to civil society; Postponed procurements and updates have negative effect to maintain important capabilities; Bringing back arms and services which died out thanks for the military reforms; Continue modernization programs like: helicopter, rifle, fighting vehicle, etc. Procurement of modern high precision-, robot equipment, digital battle management systems, fire control systems, simulators.
