DURING OFFICIAL ACTIVITIES/FUNCTIONS/EVENTS OF
THE DBM CENTRAL AND REGIONAL OFFICES

In view of the rising cost of food expenses across the country and for
uniformity purposes, this Department Order is being issued to standardize the
price iimits for meais and snacks provided during official activities, functions,
or events of the Department.
2.0
The price limits for meals and snacks during official activities, functions, or
events attended by officials and employees of the DBM Central Office and
Regional Offices shall be as follows:

Official activities, functions, events, or meetings of the DBM with the following
officials, shall be exempt from the price limits mentioned in Item 2.0:

The President and Vice President of the Philippines;
Members of the Senate and House of Representatives;
Justices of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and Sandiganbayan;
Department Secretaries;
Ambassadors, Consuls, and other foreign dignitaries/delegates;
Heads of Constitutional Commissions and the Ombudsman;
Governors and Vice-Governors;
Other officials of equivalent rank;
For this purpose, the following price limits shall apply, subject to existing
budgeting, accounting, and auditing rules and regulations:

Requests for exemption from the prescribed price limits shall be submitted to
the Secretary at least three (3) working days before the scheduled activity,
function, or event. The requesting B/S/0 should justify the need to exceed
the prescribed price limits provided under this Department Order. Moreover,

B/S/Os are advised to refrain from incurring unnecessary, excessive,
extravagant, and unconscionabie expenses.
5.0
This Order shall supersede previous issuances and memoranda relating to the
same subject matter.
6.0
This Order shall take effect immediately.
