“Immediate action in case of Electrocution”
1) If a person is electrocuted, do not touch them directly.
2) Turn off the main switch as soon as possible.
3) If it is not possible to turn off the switch, try to separate the person
who has been electrocuted with a dry newspaper, woolen cloth,
Piece of wood, dried bamboo or rubber from the source of
electricity.
4) If it is not possible to push or turn off the switch, inform CCR
immediately.
5) After separating from the source, loosen the neck, chest and waist
of the person exposed to electricity and quickly lay him down on
the ground without a pillow.
6) It the affected person’s heart does not seem to be working, inform
CCR immediately and try to start the heart by quickly pressing
hard on his chest. In medical language it is called CPR.
7) When breathing stops, arrange for artificial respiration. This
should be continuing until it is possible to get to the hospital.
8) In addition to giving first aid, the patient should be rushed to the
hospital.
“What can’t be done”
1. Don’t try to protect without disconnecting the electrical
connection.
2. Don’t beat the electrocuted person with sticks at will.
3. Don’t pour water on the body or head of the electrocuted
person.
