Entertainment at the bar
Traditional entertainment in an English pub includes performances
by local musicians, open meetings of non-professional musicians,
darts, and billiards. The British often watch football on the big
screen over a glass of beer.
Some examples:
Fancy a game of pool/darts? — Хочешь сыграть в
бильярд/дротики?
Excuse me mate, any bands on tonight? — Будет ли живая
музыка сегодня вечером?
What time’s the match on? — Во сколько начинается матч?

Pubs traditions
The table in the pub is chosen independently;
customers are not seated, as in restaurants. You
cannot sit next to someone, even if the person alone
occupies the whole table: you can sit next to a
stranger only if he invites you, this happens.

A little about tips in pubs
You don't usually tip in a pub. No, they will gladly
take them if you leave them, but the British, as a
rule, do not do this in the pub - it is not accepted.
Also, in Britain it is illegal to drink alcohol on the
street with one exception: you can drink booze
bought in a pub on the street outside the pub within
4 meters of the entrance. Therefore, you can go
outside with ale.
