Amazing Magnets
Magnets
• Magnets come in different shapes.
• All magnets have a north pole and a south pole.
• Magnets can push and pull. This push and pull force of magnet is
called magnetism.
Magnetic materials
• Magnetic materials are pulled towards a magnet.
• Materials that are not attracted by magnets are called non magnetic
materials.
Magnets attract, magnets repel
• Magnets can push apart instead of pulling together / repel (the
opposite of attract)
Look at the picture and ask your teacher to
show you does the picture are correct.

• Opposite poles till always

• Two poles the same will
always repel each other
Now try to find out some magnetic materials and nonmagnetic materials, use north pole than south pole of the
magnet. Number 1 has been done for you.
