EXPECTATION SETTING
May expectations for this class are:
Studying contemporary studies and issues are my interests, so I am expecting myself to
participate a lot and have fun. Hopefully this subject will enlighten some areas that are not
discussed on a daily basis. I expect that the class will be interesting, engaging, and an open learning
experience for everyone. I hope to acquire the critical thinking abilities necessary to evaluate and
comprehend intricate sociopolitical, economic, and cultural issues. I’d like to hear opinions and
facts from the educator and classmates. I believe that you’ll discover a person’s character based
on their political opinions. Contemporary World subject is a door for people to know other
cultures, news, and norms that will give character or meaning to others.
My commitments for the class are:
To participate in class activities and discussions, be aware of things that I have little to no
knowledge, to learn and to educate others. Learning is a two-way process. To know people
based on stimulating conversations, keeping up with current events, and discovering ways to
make informed decisions on the topics that shape our contemporary world.
