Snowman Ornament

I whipped a bunch of these little guys up as
present toppers for co-workers, even made
a few more for my own tree. They are super
quick and very easy. Please feel free to

Skill Level: Easy
Size: About 2 ½ inches Tall
Materials:
• 1 ball of Red, Red Heart Soft Touch
Yarn or something similar
• 1 ball of Green, Red Heart Soft
Touch Yarn or something similar
• 1 ball of White, Red Heart Soft
Touch Yarn or something similar
• Crochet hook size G
• Tapestry needle
• Fiberfill Stuffing
• Small pom pom maker (optional)
Body
With White Ch 3, slip st to form ring or use
Magic Ring Method, whichever you prefer.
Rnd 1: 2 sc in each ch around: 6 sc
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around: 12 sc
Rnd 3: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc)
around: 18 sc
Rnd 4–7: Sc in each sc around: 18 sc
Rnd 8: (Dec, sc in next sc) around: 12 sc
Rnd 9: Sc in each sc around: 12 sc
Rnd 10: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc)
around: 18 sc
Rnd 11: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc)
around: 24 sc
Rnd 12-16: Sc in each sc around: 24 sc
Rnd 17: (Dec, sc in next 2 sc) around: 18 sc
Rnd 18: (Dec, sc in next sc) around: 12 sc
Rnd 19: Dec in each sc around: 6 sc
Leave long to sew bottom completely
closed.
Puff Ball Hat
With Green Ch 3, slip st to form ring or use
Magic Ring Method, whichever you prefer.
Rnd 1: 2 sc in each ch around: 6 sc
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around: 12 sc
Rnd 3: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc)
around: 18 sc
Rnd 4–7: Sc in each sc around, slip st in
last sc: 18 sc
For brim, use red and slip st around edge of
hat. Then just add a puff ball and tie it on
top. I used a pom pom maker but you can
us card bored or just use your fingers. Make
sure you hide your ends inside the hat.
Scarf
With Green ch 31
Row 1: Sc in each ch across: 30 sc
Row 2: Sc in each sc across: 30 sc
From the end of the second row, continue
along the side. Then across the opposite ch
edge and up the other side. Tie off and
weave in ends.
Finishing
Tie scarf in a knot around neck and tack
down with a couple stitches so that it will lay
flat, hide stitches in the body. Also tack
down puff ball hat, hide the stitches in the
head. Add eye by using French knots. If you
don’t know how to make a French Knot I
suggest going youtube and do a search for
“French Knot, Cross Stitch”. Or you could
use little buttons or beads. And lastly tie a
loop of yarn or ribbon through the very top
of the head/hat for hanging. You can hide
this knot in the hat as well.
