Know the differences between these words-- be comfortable with them. know the bonds-- how the bonds are different and how hard it is to break the bonds. KNOW the four levels of protein structure and what can denature a protein (and that an enzyme IS a protein) if given a graph-- be able to interpret what it is telling you about a species changing-- be able to analyze a cladogram and be able to use Hardy-Weinberg this is all how parts work and if a part is broken, what that means for the whole cell. Signaling and transduction.... But also this is where your knowledge of macromolecules links in. Water potential! :) What happens in each step? Why is each significant to a species survival? you know this one. you have seen the hardest questions about these topics (on our last test). 5' and 3' KNOW which way it is read, built, and why there is a lagging and leading strand relatively easy... be able to read a pedigree these are NOT to be memorized... look at each and see where you can connect them to the other terms on this page-DO NOT SPEND TIME studying these... but these are NOTORIOUS topics that you will see pop up in questions that can throw you off.
