Introduces the main concepts of your product, process, or tool
outcome statement
A statement included at the beginning of the guide (or each section) that
tells users what they will accomplish from using the guide
plain language
Communication your audience can understand the first time they read
or hear it
procedural guide
Tells users how to do the series of steps required to get started with
your product, process, or tool
visuals
Charts, drawings, or screenshots that help users understand how to use
your product or service
