Job Description – Product Analyst We are Outbrain. Outbrain is seeking a highly motivated, business oriented, self-reliant Product Analyst to join our BI group. In this role, you’ll serve as an analytics domain expert, work closely with our PM team and help drive the adoption, growth and success of our products. For this position, we are looking for a person with exceptional analytical skills, hands on experience in analyzing ab-test results using statistical tools, a leader with the ability of selflearning and delivering results. A day in the life Work closely with the PM & the business teams and become the focal point for all product analytics matters in the organization Create, support and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards to monitor products performance and evaluate the impact of new features and initiatives Get your hands dirty working with big data sets to provide useful actionable insights related to products – for both product and business users What you’ll bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Statistics / Information Systems or a related technical field a must At least 4 years of proven hands-on experience in an analytic product role Excellent SQL skills with experience of analyzing and visualizing large data set a must, experience using: Vertica/Hadoop Hive a plus Hands-on experience in designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests using statistical tools. Familiarity with statistical significance, p-values, and confidence intervals is a must. Ability to interpret results and provide actionable insights to drive data-driven decisions. Experienced in leveraging data and analytics in a business environment influencing decision making Experienced with BI and data visualization tools a must, Tableau a plus Fast and independent learner Manage multiple tasks at a time in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills - both written and verbal (English) Experience in the digital space a must, and in Ad-tech a plus More than snacks!
