Abstraction
My mom was born in a countryside while my father have lived in city. They got married
through matchmaker who is familiar with two my grandparent. And similar to other’s
woman in Viet Nam, my mother have to leave away mother's house and move to stay
in my father’s house. When I was a child, because of my mother's house far from
where we live, so we rarely went to there, my parent only bring me comeback in Tet
holiday and summer break to visit my grandparent in a short time. So that, I not really
close to my grandparent, especially grandfather. The older I get, the less I talk to him
I actually don't remember What was the last time I talk to my grandfather? Even when
I have to talk with him I also so don't know what should I say except “ How are you” .
It's not due to he doesn't love me, or I hate talking to him, but perhaps it's because of
the age, distance and personality built a shy relationship between us like that.
Therefore I wrote this book, it like a confession to my grandfather, I want he know that
I really love him, I expect that in someday we will closest, like the two main characters
in the book, we can talk, natter, share experience's life, give an advice and express
feeling together.
Moreover, through the book I want to find again the memories' childhood in the
countryside I seem forgot, about friends, fields, buffalo, kites, lanes, ditches, and the
days waking up with the insects’s sound, the days eat meal while listening to the local
radio speak, the nights watch thousands of bright stars under nightsky with the sound
of frogs croaking ,...
I hope that with my book, not only me but also readers can recall your wonderful
childhood memories, open your hearts and get closer to the most precious person in
your life.
