Goal 6.2 Child discipline
Write a 30 second public service announcement about types of
child guidance, encouraging appropriate behavior, handling
inappropriate behavior. Present to the class.
You can use powtoon, make a video and act it out, whatever
modality you choose. You can also do this alone or with a
friend.
OR
Make a video about positive ways to handle two of the
following situations among children as a caregiver.
1. Child bites another child
2. Child grabs toy from another child
3. Child talks back to parent or grandparent
4. Child has a potty accident and messes clothes.
5. Child will not take a nap
6. Child calls parent or grandparent by their given name
(first name).
You can role play and act out in front of class, or make a
video. The two scenes should include the situation and the
consequence. Any video or role play that shows physically
hurting the child results in an automatic ZERO.
Rewrite the negative statements often said to children so that
each one is positive. Avoid the words “DON’T, “ “NOT,” or “NO”
