Automatic Plant
Irrigation System
Presented By: Team Tycoon
Problems
Solution: Automatic Plant Irrigation System
Objective
1. Main Objective
To conserve environmental aspects (water,
plant health)
2. Secondary Objective
• To prevent over-watering and underwatering of plants
• To provide controlled water supply
for plants
• To increase crop yielding
• To adjust irrigation schedule based
on changing weather conditions and
plant needs
• To reduce time, cost and labor for
manual irrigation
Materials Used
•
•
•

•
•
•
•
One Arduino UNO Board
One 5 Volt Relay Module
One small water pump with a tube of
around two feet
One Soil Moisture Sensor
Few Jumper wires
Water Container
Power source
Pipe
Plants plot (vessel with plant)
Working Mechanism
 Monitoring and Adjustment: The control unit continuously
monitors the soil moisture levels and adjusts the watering
schedule as needed. This ensures that the plants receive the
right amount of water, at the right time, without over-watering
or under-watering.
 Data Collection: Automatic irrigation systems often collect
data on water use, soil moisture levels, and plant growth,
which can be used to optimize irrigation practices and
improve plant health.
