Consider the following key points in preparing for your oral presentation

Choose field : science, technology, filed literature, business, education, self-development (see

Note: maths, chemistry or physics), technology (ex.PC related), education, self development

Choose title: narrow down theme to a specific ISSUE that can be reasonably dealt with in 7
minutes ( individual presentation), 10 minute ( pair), 15 mins (team)

Clarify target audience: specialists? non-specialists? Hook: how do you plan to arouse the
attention of the audience: question? Joke? Personal experience? Odd facts? Statitics? Etc.

Outline possible structure

Clarify the message to take home: which is the main idea/ key facts your audience might find
profitable?

Attention grabber:

Structure:
