Classic Bobo Doll

Introduction
Classic psychology experiments. Today, we will
be discussing the Bobo Doll Experiment, which
has been the subject of much debate and
controversy. I will discuss the experimetns
aftermath and ethical implications in this
presentation.Main concept that will be dicused
is Responsibility and values
The Experiment
The experiment revocled around splitting 2
rooms with children 3-6 years old. Then both
the rooms will experince differnt outcomes. The
adults will come in the rooms and act
accordingly to the doll(BoBo). Adults in one
room will be told to treat the dool with respect
while the other room consited of adults
treating teh dool with agreesion.
The Power of Modeling
The effectiveness of modeling, or the
notion that we learn by copying and
observing others, was made clear by the
Bobo Doll Experiment. While children
who observed non-aggressive conduct
were less likely to engage in violent
behavior, those who observed aggressive
behavior were more inclined to mimic it.
The Role of Reinforcement
This ec[eriment had imporntat
implications in whcih there was a clear
trend between how the children copied
the behcaiour of the adults in which we
can see how adults behvaiour can impcat
the echild. THis leads to teh importnace
of children living in propoer households
as unstalbe households can lead to
children experincing mehtal probems in
the future

Recently the bobo dool experimetn was
revisited and the results posetd teh
damwe agian in whcih children posed to
show the same behaior as the adults
depicted.
The Controversy
THere have been sevral controversies on
which this experiment has posed serious
implications towards children that
experinced the ciolent room. Due to the
fact that the children were eposed to
ciolent behvior thier behaviour mimicked
this same results . Thus were the children
after this exeriemtn destined to be
violent or grow up with mental/tramucic
disorders

factor in modeling. It shows hwo behviors of
adults can impact the children exposed to these
behaviour
