FLOBAS PD-18
Water Reducing and Retarding Admixture ( Type D )
Description
FLOBAS PD-18 is a new advanced retarder. It can improve properties of slump
retention and water retention during transportation and pumping of concrete.
FLOBAS PD-18 meets the requirements of ASTM C-494, Type D Water
reducing and retarding admixture.
Principles of
Function
Powerful chelate ability of FLOBAS PD-18 can be applied as efficient retarding
agent without any influence on the final strength in cement applications even if
sands containing clay and a lot of fines are used in concrete.

1 ) Good adhesion, excellent workability, non-layer, without segregation and
bleeding.
2 ) Wide adaptability, excellent slump retention and water reduction to ordinary
silicate cement, silicate cement, slag silicate cement and all kinds of blendings
for excellent dispersibility and plasticity.

Handling Notes
1 ) The dosage is 0.1% to 0.8% by mass of cementitious content in concrete. It is
advisable to do trial mixing before use.
2 ) Add FLOBAS PD-18 into the concrete plant. Measure required quantity manually
or by automated dispenser. Add into the concrete at the same time of charging
water or at the end of mixing cycle. When used in combination with other
admixtures, care must be taken to dispense each admixture separately into the
mix. Do not mix into dry cement.
1 ) Liquid product: 200kg drum or 1000kg tank.
2 ) Stored under 10-35℃, far away from sunlight
3 ) Shelf life is normally six month.
1 ) FLOBAS PD-18 is free from alkaline. It is non toxic, non hazardous, and non
corrosive.
2 ) When it contacts eyes and skin, The affected area shall be immediately rinsed
with plenty of water for several minutes. Consult physician if irritation persists.
3 ) Keep container closed when it is not in use. Do not store the product directly
under sunlight.
