The uninstallation procedure is done via the Windows 2000 standard one, using the Control panel, Add/Remove Programs item. 7. FIRST START OF PACIS OI This chapter explains how to set to work PACiS OI within an PACiS system. 7.1. TESTING THE INSTALLATION Just at the end of the installation, logoff from Windows 2000 and then logon. Both PACiS OI Client and Server will be automatically launched due to the shortcuts that have been installed in the “Program/Startup ” menu. The screens are described in the next chapter. 7.2. PACIS OI - STARTING STEP Once the installation and parameterization phases have been successfully completed, the PACiS OI can be started from three ways : - Restart of the host PC (several PC in case of standalone clients). In this case, the PACiS OI is automatically launched if the auto-logging has been set (refer § 6.1.1.3.2) or once the user has logged in. - Logoff and Logon from Windows 2000. - Manual launch of the PACiS OI server and clients, using the shortcuts available on the Windows 2000 desktop or from the Start menu. In this case, the server must be stared before the clients. Note : The PACiS OI server automatically launches the UCA2 Agency. To verify that it is running, just control the icons in the system tray of the Windows 2000 task bar, as shown below : ODYSSEY SCADA 2000 HMI REL.1 GETTING STARTED Y3-55 A420746-4 11 April 2003 - 22 - CONFIDENTIAL. All rights reserved. ALSTOM. Passing on and copying of this document, use and communication of its contents are not permitted without prior written authorization. PACiS HMI icon UCA2 Agency icon For the first start, PACiS OI is initialized with the default configuration delivered with the installation procedure. The screen displays a mimic telling the user that the default application is running. This default configuration allows PACiS OI to be seen by the SMT through the UCA2 substation network. A default user exists with minimum rights (mainly no Windows 2000 desktop access). The PACiS OI is in the operational state when : - the “Alstom” logo is turning, denoting that the PACiS OI client/server connection works correctly. - the icon in the “Equipment” cell displays the current UCA2 coupling activity status. When this icon is overlaid by a red cross, the PACiS OI cannot be seen through the UCA2 substation network by the other equipment. At this step, it is possible to login with the predefined values, either by the ad hoc command or by the F2 key: - User name : AdmOdyssey - Password : Odyssey This User name is linked to a set of rights (a user profile), allowing full access to the Windows 2000 desktop. Notice that : - It is necessary to login with this User name for the Stop command. - The user profiles may be modified using the SCE. ODYSSEY SCADA 2000 HMI REL.1 GETTING STARTED Y3-55 A420746-4 11 April 2003 - 23 - 7.3. PACIS OI – STOPPING STEP The Stop button in the Command banner may stop the PACIS OI Client, if the logged user has sufficient rights. CONFIDENTIAL. All rights reserved. ALSTOM. Passing on and copying of this document, use and communication of its contents are not permitted without prior written authorization. The PACiS OI Server may be stopped (generally for maintenance purposes), further a rightclick on the icon on the WINDOWS 2000 system tray; this action must be confirmed. 7.4. CASE OF A STANDALONE CLIENT In order to connect to the PACiS OI Server, the WINDOWS 2000 user, password and rights, must be the same on all the PC of a PACiS OI. ODYSSEY SCADA 2000 HMI REL.1 GETTING STARTED Y3-55 A420746-4 11 April 2003 - 24 - 8. PACIS OI CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT CONFIDENTIAL. All rights reserved. ALSTOM. Passing on and copying of this document, use and communication of its contents are not permitted without prior written authorization. PACiS OI is compliant with the configuration process handled by PACiS SMT. It owns two configuration folders, the Current and the Standby. Further to the installation, the Current folder contains the Default configuration and the Stanby is empty. These configuration data allow PACiS OI to be seen by the SMT through the UCA2 substation network and thus to be downloaded with a new configuration data set issued by PACiS SCE. Following a download from PACiS SMT, always done in the Standby folder, the Current folder contains the Default configuration and the Standby folder contains then new configuration data. The new configuration data will be taken in account following a switch (Set current) order issued from the SMT (Refer to § 8.2). 8.1. DESCRIPTION OF THE STANDBY TO CURRENT SWITCH When the switch order is received, the PACiS OI server stops and restarts with the data contained in the Current folder. According to the configuration size, the PACiS OI server stays in the starting phase for up to 30 minutes. This delay depends on : - the number of Data Point defined in PACiS SCE - the number of UCA2 association with the PACiS devices - the number of data reports to subscribe for each association During this phase, the PACiS OI Clients are still running but the communication channel with the PACiS Server is broken. When the PACiS Server starting ends, a dialog box is displayed in the PACiS OI Clients indicating that a new graphical configuration is available. When the user acknowledges the message in the dialog box, the PACiS Client is automatically stopped and restarted. Notes : - the user must own the stop right (set in PACiS SCE) - a configurable delay exists between the stop and the restart (refer § 6.1.2.4). 8.2. SMT - CONFIGURATION DOWNLOAD STEP 8.2.1. STEP 1 : ADDING DATA BASES Once the SMT has been installed and started (refer to the SMT documentation), the configuration data produced by the SCE must be added into the SMT folder, using the “Add DB” command. The SCE should generate configuration data under “…\importDB” folder of the SMT. ODYSSEY SCADA 2000 HMI REL.1 GETTING STARTED Y3-55 A420746-4 11 April 2003 CONFIDENTIAL. All rights reserved. ALSTOM. Once finished, the “Stdby. Vers” column reflects the version content of the equipment standby folder. 8.2.4. STEP 4 – RUNNING THE CONFIGURATION To put the standby configuration as the current one, use the “Set current” menu from the “Databases tab”. During this phase the PACiS OI stops, then switches the standby and current folders, and finally restarts, updating the data base version numbers. The final result is “Run” with the “Cur. Vers” set to the new one. ODYSSEY SCADA 2000 HMI REL.1 GETTING STARTED Y3-55 A420746-4 11 April 2003 CONFIDENTIAL. All rights reserved. ALSTOM.
