ACTIVITY 5
Argue how the ASEAN region contributed to the growth of Philippine society. Limit your
answers in three paragraphs, with seven lines in each paragraph. Use actual data to
support your arguments.
The development of the Philippines as a whole is facilitated by ASEAN. The country is
better prepared for globalization as a result of the outstanding support received from
other Southeast Asian countries. It would not be surprising if the economy does well in
the next years given how much the Filipinos' way of life has improved. One of the pillars
of the Philippine foreign and trade policies is ASEAN. This is exemplified by the
Philippines' goal of fostering a more tranquil, secure, and liberated South East Asia
through the development of various initiatives in the realms of decision-making, trade,
and practical collaboration.
For their service providers, ASEAN aspires to offer simpler travel services. But even
regular people can gain from better air, sea, or land travel. Additionally, ASEAN enables
increased commerce in goods and services among member countries in the area.
Import taxes are reduced or even removed. It only seems sense that the ASEAN region,
with its easier and more affordable travel options, commodities, and services, would
also come with improved work prospects as an added benefit. If Filipinos are more
prepared for these emerging occupations, they will have more access to better jobs.
Thankfully, ASEAN unification will improve the nation's educational system.

reasons why the Philippines is moving along well and steadily and why prospective
investors, businesspeople, and its residents do not need to be concerned about the
stability of the state is ASEAN. Filipinos should be happy and proud that their country is
forging close ties with the other ASEAN countries in light of the accomplishments of the
31st ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings in November of last year. A healthier and
more stable economy is closer with every step ASEAN takes. The Philippines is growing
closer to realizing its enormous potential in all areas, including tourism, goods and
services, education, and employment prospects.
