1. Based on the case provided, what is the main recruitment issue faced by General Mills?
 The difficulty General Mills was having interacting with millennial job seekers those persons
entering the labour market who were born largely in the 1980s and 1990s led to the company's
decision to enter the social media space. The company learned that this generation not only
wants to be able to communicate with brands in terms of employment on channels, but also
lives on social media as a whole as they began to examine their internet-based recruiting
procedures.
2. What are the strategies outlined by General Mills for their recruitment? Is it go with
the external recruitment or internal recruitment strategy?
 General Mills employs external recruitment without a doubt. External recruiting, as we are all
aware, refers to the evaluation of a pool of potential employees other than current employees
to determine whether any are suitably skilled or qualified to fill and fulfil open positions.
3. Which are the (TWO) platforms that General Mills can use ideally for their recruitment
purpose? Why.
 General Mills company decided to fully commit to recruiting through various social media
platforms. For example, like in order to bring their culture to life, General Mills has developed
a comprehensive social strategy that includes using channels like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter
and YouTube to engage the members of their potential talent pool. Also, General Mills
approached each platform in a unique way, understanding that different types of people use
different social media platforms for different purposes.
