Peroy, Glaiza Kerrian Myth P. ENGL103-CE3B May 25, 2023 Dogs are not Dangerous There is a negative stigma that certain dog breeds have. Pitbull, for example, are one of them and are thought to be dangerous bread. Some people’s initial perception of Pit bulls is that they will harm you for no reason at all. But what many people don’t is that dog’s temperament is a reflection of its owner, as well as, the attention and training it receives. Thus, Pit bulls are not dangerous dogs. All dogs, like human, have the potential to either be nice or mean, respond well or poorly to the environment and interact with others either up and par with social standards or not. Pit bulls are not born aggressive, rather it is the way they are treated by the keepers and how they adapt in their environment. Most people who kept Pit bulls are more likely have a high level of patience and determined to train the dogs well. Researchers state that dogs are not born aggressive they adapt in the environment, as well as, on how they treat and train by the keeper. Dogs did not show aggression towards anybody unless they were directed to do so or were trained to act aggressive against other people. Dogs, specifically Pit bulls, can be kept as friends because of their loyalty and being friendly to others if they are trained so. There is no harm in keeping Pit bull as a pet dog and similar to other dogs they do not harm their keepers or the children of their keeper without any reason. They can be kept as friends is that they are very near and loyal to their owners and are highly social. Pit bull dogs should even be kept as pets because they are very social if they are provided with proper social training and they do not harm people instead are very protective. Dogs like Pit bulls are not dangerous dogs, people are just stereotyping the dogs’ breed due to its physical appearance. The only thing we can do to make them friendly and non-aggressive is to train them on how to socialize with people. To teach them to be a good pet by showing them love and care for them so that they can feel comfort and companion.
