ISSUES AND CONCERNS

MOVIE AND TV VERSIONS
Literature is one of the ways to enjoy child’s life.
This is also the reason why their skills are improved and
developed. When we say literature it talks about the works of art
either written works, imaginative works through poetry, poem,
novels, short stories, fairytales, and essays and so on. Through
reading literature it improves their imaginative skills, cognitive
skills, critical thinking skills and also their creativity. One of the
stories that young people or children love is the story of Cinderella.
Cinderella story was one of the known and most popular classic
fairytale in all times, even though it has been written and published
for a long time ago by Charles Perrault but it’s still known not only
in one country but also famous all over the world. It’s not only
enjoyed by children but also by adults who love and treasured
literature. Because of the well-known and popularity of this
fairytale story, it was done in different versions whether in books
or in different channels and movies. One of the channels who
produce Cinderella story was Disney which is cartoon characters
who perform on this channel in the year 1950. At this
Disneyversion, they changed a lot of scenarios in the movie they
released, just like the dress of Cinderella wore which in the Disney
version it was color blue dress in the original version it was a gold
and silver dress, also in Disney version it was not explained where
the named Cinderella came from but in the original version it was
said there and explained where the name Cinderella came from and
it was made it, which is her stepsisters because Cinderella always
sit in the cinders and ashes at their chimney or cindery. Moreover,
on the day of the royal ball where the prince announced for
everyone. In the Disney version it only happened for one night and
that’s when Cinderella ran away and was left with her pair of
glass-shoe on the stairs while in the original version, the royal ball
happened for two nights at the palace and on the second night it
was therethat Cinderella left her pair of glass-shoe because the
magic was lasted only until midnight. Lastly, the carriage of
Cinderella in Disney version was color blue, gold and pink while
in the original version it was only surrounded by gold and in
Disneyversion Cinderella was has golden and charming voice that
even her pet mice and birds are obsessed to listen with it while in
the original version, writer didn’t mentioned any of it. Another
movie was produced also by Disney in the year 2015 at this movie
each character was played by a real person. The named of the main
character in this story was Ella (Cinderella) where in the story the
father of young Ella died unexpectedly while in the original
version didn’t mentioned what really happened after her father
married to her cruel and evil stepmother. Also, Ella has a golden
and charming voice; her dress was color blue while in the original
version it was surrounded by gold and silver. The royal ball takes
only one night while the original version takes two nights at the
palaceofthe prince and lastly the original the new versions of
Cinderella has end with happy ending. Both versions have the
moral lesson that tells to reader and viewers.
