Meets Standard - 3 Developing - 2 Student marks up parts of the text effectively, making some summaries, inferences, connections, and creating (DOK Levels 2-3) questions, but misses some relevant evidence. Student only marks up certain sections of the document; they either don’t mark up the task or there are no relevant notes. Questions are minimal (DOK Level 1) or non-existent. Underdeveloped - 1 Incomplete - 0 Student minimally marks up the text by either underlining very little information, or none at all. No questions are noted. Jot your answer below! - Did the nymph bring any happiness to Odysseus, how did she provide it if at all? - Perhaps the red veil means a sign of helping, or someone helpful is about to enter the characters life in which this is important because Odysseus almost lost his life and two characters with a red veil helped him - This is different from how family dynamics have been portrayed in most other books/texts we’ve read. Especially Falling Leaves where there was such an unhealthy family dynamic within themselves. But in these chapters it is portrayed outwards. In things they can control, like the suitors. - The main character had a lot of strength, specifically emotionally. Hearing of the hardships his father has had to go through always in Student # 2 - Identify moments of symbolism and/or allegory and explain their significance.
