Under INITIATION, the following shall be my activities to do:
1. Conduct rapid rural appraisal, gathering of data from secondary
sources, first-hand information or data.
2. conduct extensive assessment of the area to include potentials of the
area, available resources, raw materials, etc.
3. Conduct community consultation.
4. Conducting focused group dialogue and
5. Etc.
In initiation activities, The DENR or the Department of
Environment and Natural Resources must gather information for what
is the main reason why Pasig River has a bunch of floating plastics
that can cause not only water pollution but also flooding. They must
assess many strategic plans that can improve and develop the Pasig
River System. They must also discuss the possible effects of
implementing programs in controlling water pollution.
ii.
Under PLANNING, the following shall be my activities to do:
1. Gather functional requirements and to define scope of work as
needed.
2. Determine resources and staffing needs.
3. Assess the communication needs and, if required, prepare a
communication plan
4. Create a project plan that establishes the work breakdown structure
and a schedule
5. Assess training needs and develop a plan as appropriate
6. Obtain consensus of the project team and project stakeholders on
project plan.
These activities in the situation includes the planning and
estimating the materials needed in controlling water pollution. It also
includes the budgeting of expenses and scheduling of the project team
while taking into consideration both the resource availability and the
project time. In planning stage, it involves free-associating of ideas
and finding partners in this project.
iii.
Under EXECUTION, the following shall be my activities to do:
1. Creates and delivers the end result, of product or service.
2. Executes the tasks in the project schedule
3. Delivers regular updates to project stakeholders detailing progress
4. Relies on the plans from the planning phase to control the project and
expends most of the project resources.
These activities in the situation includes, implementing
programs like clean-up drive program, regular monitoring of
waterways to ensure that floating solid wastes and other debris are
collected to prevent them from ending up on Manila Bay, regular
ambient water sampling activities to monitor water quality of the Pasig
River and its tributaries as well as the sampling of effluent or
wastewater discharge from establishments within the Pasig River
System, application of water quality improvement technologies,
monitoring and enforcement of legal easements.
iv.
Under CLOSURE, the following shall be my activities to do:
1. Concludes all project activities
2. Administratively closes the project
3. Assesses project outcomes and team performance
4. Documents best practices and lessons learned.
These activities in the situation includes the promoting of the
cleanliness of the Pasig River also encouraging the squatters living
alongside the river to mitigate their proper waste disposal. It also
includes engaging other stakeholders to join the project to bring the
ongoing plastic recovery programs.
