WORKOUT DUMBBELLS Introduction ● Fixed weight: Dumbbells that are made with cast iron and coated with rubber or neoprene, or rigid plastic shells filled with concrete. In both cases, the amount of weight for each dumbbell is fixed (i.e., nonadjustable) ● Adjustable weight: Dumbbells consisting of a metal bar (for gripping) and weighted disks (plates) that are added or removed to adjust the amount of weight that can be lifted. Numerous methods are used to secure the disks to the bar. ● Selector weight: Dumbbells whose weight is mechanically adjusted by turning a dial or moving a selector pin. These types of weights are similar to adjustable weight dumbbells in that the weight can be changed. SCOPE OF WORK ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Dumbbells give you a full-body workout: ... They are versatile: ... Dumbbells help you burn more calories: ... They increase your metabolism: ... They help tone your body: ... Dumbbells improve your balance and coordination: ... They build strength: ... Dumbbells are convenient: RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS ● DUMBBELLS are one of the best pieces of home gym equipment anyone can own. They take up a very small amount of space and can be used to work almost every ● in the body. There are literally hundreds of different exercises you can do with them but below are the top 5 dumbbell workouts. ● The one exercise everybody knows is the bicep curl. To perform this start with your feet about shoulder width apart. The weights should be held in each hand with palms facing inwards. As you lift the weight turn the arm so that the palms face upwards. Do this in a slow and controlled manner. Lower the dumbbell slowly and do the same movement with the opposite arm. This is the most effective way to build up the bicepes ● If it is the chest you want to improve try the front raise. With a dumbbell in each hand and thumbs pointing towards each other raise the weights. Try to get them parallel with the ground and keep the arms almost straight. Slowly lower them and repeat. This is great for DESIGN OBJECTIVES(10%) ● Dumbbells are often used for joint-isolation exercises such as biceps curls, chest flyes or shoulder raises. Using dumbbells for full-body, multiplanar movements, however, can provide a variety of different strength outcomes. It also offers many benefits for cardiorespiratory fitness and flexibility ● The dumbbell doesn’t get enough credit next to its more popular relative, the barbell. But dumbbell training has many advantages over barbell training. DESIGN PROCESS (10%) ● This involves green sand, which is wet content sand that is naturally bonded. Sand is loaded into a flask, a pattern is pressed into it, then the pattern is removed and the mold cavity is ready. The raw cast iron is then put through a Spectromax Machine to qualify it and then it's heated at extreme temperatures. CREATIVITY AND NOVELTY OF DESIGN(30%) 1. Sarkar and Chakrabarti’s method does not consider both ‘inputs’ and ‘structure’ (i.e. organ or parts) to ascertain if a product is novel. Below, we explain this deficiency and the related modification to address it. In their novelty assessment method, Sarkar and Chakrabarti have used the FBS and SAPPhIRE models. The construct ‘parts’ in the SAPPhIRE is interpreted as ‘structure’ in the FBS. The FBS model is used first to ascertain whether or not a product is novel. For this purpose, the structure of a recent product is compared with that of previous products. 1. If the structure is same, the product has no novelty. However, as mentioned above in Section 3.1, a recent product can be novel even if its structure is same as that of previous products, achieving the same function. This leads us to propose the second modification: a recent product is not novel if its both ‘inputs’ and ‘structure’ (i.e. organ or parts) are same as those of previous products, fulfilling the same function. Therefore, as shown in Figure 4, we Figure 3. 3. Modification 1: Addition of a step to consider differences only in terms of inputs. Figure 4. Modification to ascertain whether or not a product is novel. 8 S. JAGTAP add a modification to Sarkar and Chakrabarti’s method, replacing the FBS model by the constructs of the SAPPhIRE model, to AUTODESK SOFTWARE USAGE (TECHNOLOGY) SPECIFIC SOFTWARE WORKFLOW (30%) • The autodesk software that i used is fusion 360, the workflow process is listed below:• Sketch • Extrude • Cut & Joint • Assembly • Drive link & Motion link • Appearance • Render • Animation IMPACT/USER EXPERIENCE(20%) • I had best interactions with fusion 360. • I love the interface since I’m a newbie but some extra function and shortcuts were needed HI RES.
