While non-moral standards are based on individual preferences or cultural
norms, moral standards are ethical principles that establish what is good and
wrong. Euthanasia is a contentious topic because some people believe it to be
ethically acceptable while others believe it to be immoral. This contrast
between moral and immoral standards is highlighted by this problem. The
argument over euthanasia presents a moral conundrum in which the moral
principles of compassion and respect for autonomy clash with the moral
precept of protecting human life. In order to navigate ethical discussions and
make wise judgments, it is essential to understand the difference between
moral and immoral standards. Euthanasia controversy ultimately highlights
the significance of taking moral principles into account when assessing difficult
moral questions.

According to my understanding of the topics there are different cultures that
have radically different moral values is often associated with other claims
about morality, such as the denial of universal moral values and the insistence
that we should refrain from passing moral judgments on beliefs and practices
from other cultures.
So that, moral dilemmas are essential to understand the ethical principles at
play and evaluate them critically. It is important to consider the potential
consequences of different choices and how they align with ethical principles.
The level of moral dilemmas and the ethical decision-making is crucial to
navigate in a way that prioritizes the best interests of all parties involved. By
understanding these levels, individuals can make informed and ethical
decisions that align with their values and beliefs.
April 04, 2023 Discussion (Inside Out Movie)
The movie Inside Out showcases the significance of emotions and moral
reasoning in decision-making. The movie tells the story of a girl named Riley,
who moves to San Francisco with her parents. Then we meet the five more
major characters that will guide and help Riley with the life-changing event
she’s experiencing and they are Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust
The significance of emotions in decision-making is evident throughout the
movie. Joy, the emotion that is often associated with positive experiences and
memories, tries to keep Riley happy by preventing any negative emotions
from taking over. However, When Joy and Sadness are inadvertently swept
into the far reaches of Riley’s mind, it becomes clear that all emotions,
including sadness, are necessary for proper decision-making.
The movie also highlights the importance of moral reasoning in decisionmaking. When we encounter Riley’s imaginary friend, Bing Bong, he helps Joy
and Sadness to escape the memory dump even if it means making personal
sacrifices.
To conclude, Inside Out is a movie that focuses on the emotions and moral
reasoning that play a significant role in decision-making. The emotions show
their dependency and cod-dependency with other emotions. In addition, the
film shows how others' emotions are quite important when we’re making
decisions because doing such acts might gave good and bad effects on us.
