Write a sermon for matthew 6.25-34 My Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Today I want to
talk to you about worry. We all worry. It's natural and it's human. We worry about our
jobs, our families, our future, and our finances. But what does the Bible have to say
about worry? In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus tells us not to worry. He says, “Therefore I tell
you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what
you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the
birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly
Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by
worrying add a single hour to your life?” Jesus reminds us that God is our provider. He
is the one who is responsible for taking care of us. He is the one who knows our needs
and is faithful to meet them. He is the one who loves us and cares for us. We can trust
Him to provide for us and to take care of us. Jesus also reminds us that worrying will not
add a single hour to our life. Worrying can only lead to fear and anxiety, and it can rob
us of peace and joy. So, instead of worrying, Jesus tells us to seek first His kingdom
and His righteousness. When we focus on God and His kingdom, we can trust that He
will take care of our needs. So, my brothers and sisters in Christ, I urge you to let go of
your worries and trust in God. He is our provider, our protector, and our loving Father.
Put your trust in Him and your worries will be replaced by peace and joy. Amen.
Matthew 6:25-34 is a passage in the New Testament of the Bible that deals with the
topic of worry and anxiety. In this passage, Jesus teaches his followers not to worry
about their lives and what they will eat or drink, or about their bodies and what they will
wear. He encourages them to trust in God and to focus on God's Kingdom and His
righteousness, instead of worrying about the necessities of life.
Jesus gives the example of how the birds of the air do not sow or reap, but God still
provides for them. He also reminds the people that they are more valuable than the
birds and that their heavenly Father knows what they need and will provide for them.
In this passage, Jesus also warns against hoarding wealth and possessions, since they do
not bring true satisfaction and happiness. He advises his followers to seek first God's
Kingdom and His righteousness, and to trust that God will provide for their needs.
In conclusion, Matthew 6:25-34 is a reminder to Christians to trust in God and not to
worry about life's necessities, but to focus on serving God and seeking His Kingdom. The
message is still relevant today and continues to encourage people to trust in God's
provision and to not be consumed by anxiety and worry.
