INTRODUCTION: Background Of the Study ● One notable aspect of Technological advancement in communication , was the DepEd act of implementing distance learning when COVID struck our country (Yang D. and Beam E., 2020). ● Distance learning somehow proved that it is better than a academic freeze for 2 years due to pandemic. INTRODUCTION: TECHNOLOGY Technology has revolutionized our world and daily lives , has paved the way for multi-functional devices like the smartwatch , smartphones, laptops, and computers.With all of these revolutions, technology has also made our lives easier, faster, better, and more fun (AgingInPlace, 2022).In today's world we apply technology in almost everything we do in our daily lives(Karekha R., 2019). INTRODUCTION: DEVICE The education system has undergone a paradigm shift from where it used to stand years ago, thanks to the devices used by individuals such as ,Computers, laptops, smartphones, tablets—these devices have become a necessity in today’s age. The technology has truly improved, and continues to evolve. INTRODUCTION: TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION The 21st century is often considered as the era of technology. Technology has made an impact almost on every possible field and one such field is Education (Raja.R,2018).Technology in education has become more and more common in the technology era we have now living in(Cody A. Dyhrkopp, 2021). CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK ● An independent and dependent variable paradigm format was used in this research, where in the use of gadgets is the independent variable for the reason that it will affect the correspondent variable which is the Academic performance of the Grade 12 TVL-ICT Students. PARADIGM OF THE STUDY STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM This study aims to determine the impact of the use of gadgets on the academic performance of the Grade 12 TVL-ICT students in Angeles City Senior High School. Specifically, this research seeks to answer the following questions: 1. How may the use of gadgets of the Grade 12 TVL-ICT Students be described? 2. How may the academic performance of the Grade 12 TVL-ICT Students be described? 3. Is there a significant relationship between the use of gadgets and the academic performance of Grade 1 TVL-ICT students in ACSHS? SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY This study will determine the effects of using gadgets in Grade 12 TVL-ICT students in Angeles City Senior High School. This is significant to the following: Students - It is very important for them since they need to improve their knowledge power to gain success in the future. Teachers - This will educate teachers about the benefits of technology in enhancing student learning. School administrators - This study may help the school administrator by knowing the need of the students to give them a better quality of education. DEFINITION OF TERMS Augmented reality - a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world, thus providing a composite view. Deemed - regard or consider in a specified way. Fixated - cause (someone) to acquire an obsessive attachment to someone or something. Inquisitiveness - the quality of being given to asking questions; intellectual curiosity or eagerness for knowledge. Pedagogic theory - a systematic conceptualization of the process of education and conditions of human development in both the individual and the societal life sphere. Peripheral device - An input/output unit of a system that feeds data into and/or receives data from the central processing unit of a digital device.
