a) Increase risk for bleeding. Can cause
hypoglycemic effects.
b) Do not take with MAO inhibitors. Can alter affects
with heart medications. Can increase the risk of
bleeding when taken with blood clotting drugs.
c) May lower the seizure threshold such as
antihistamines, antidepressants and
antipsychotics. Can interfere with coagulation.
d) Chronic use of this can decrease positive effects of
medication for TB, cancer, and HIV.
e) Decreases the effectiveness of oral
contraceptives, warfarin, digoxin, calcium channel
blockers, steroids, HIV drugs and cancer drugs.
f) Can cause sedation when taken concurrently with
CNS depressants.
g) May cause increased risk of bleeding in clients
taking NSAIDs, heparin, and warfarin.
h) Potentiates effects of CNS depressants.
i) Possible additive effects with Finasteride.
j) Increases the effect of antihypertensive
medications. Increases hypoglycemia in client
taking insulin or oral medications.
