Since this computer only has one display port is there no way of having a double monitor setup

The mother board has one DP output however, you need to look at the specs of the video card you
select. The number of outputs from your video card will tell you how many monitors your system will
support.

This system is supposed to have "optional liquid cooling", yet there is no way to select liquid
answers
cooling when configuring the system. Under the "cooling" section, it just displays standard cpu
cooling. Why is liquid cooling unavailable?

Unfortunately the i9 K series seems to get to nearly 250w at peak load and easily outstrips the LC
option too! Seems the single 140mm radiator option hasn’t a hope of dealing with a maxed out
12900kf for more than a minute, presumably that’s why they make 240,280 & 360 AIO radiators.
Reviews suggest a good 280/360 AIO can keep the i9 to under 60 degC at full load, I’d just be happy if
it didn’t reach thermal throttling temp (about 100C). There are good air coolers too eg Noctua D15 but
they’re big so may not fit, a 360 AIO may be likewise. I’m looking at a 280AIO (Kraken/MSI) high end to
avoid refilling/leak issues but it’s probably going to void the warranty! Needs a proper system redesign
solution really!

Yes! There is an option to buy the system without a discrete graphics card. You simply select the "UHD"
option for graphics and that limits you to the integrated graphics on the CPU. The unit then arrives with
open PCIe x16 graphics slot which you can populate with whatever graphics you want to put in. When a
discrete graphics card is installed the handoff to the Discrete graphics ports for your monitor cable
should be automatic.

Answering my own question :) . DDNorCal is correct. The machine has two 2280 M.2 SSD slots and a
2230 M.2 for the WiFi Bluetooth.
What I did is let the shipped Windows 11 get all configured and updated, then I installed a second 1TB
M.2 SSD and loaded Linux on that one, since it's my daily use OS. I set the BIOS to default boot the
Linux SSD, and if I need to run Windows I F12 at startup to get the boot menu, and I select Windows
Boot Manager.
This machine, BTW, is a SCREAMER, fast as heck. I ordered it with 32GB (2x 16GB), and then bought
two additional 16GB sticks, so it runs 64GB total. I bought an Inspiron 16 laptop last October. The time
to render a 1 hour long mp4 video is just shy of 15 minutes on the laptop, and 2.5 minutes on the
desktop. Very impressive.

I ordered a computer with No optical drive because with a drive extended delivery by 2 weeks. I had a
online sales rep help me and ordered the dvd drive kit at the same time. The chassis has the available
slot and connectors. But for some reason Dell chooses to supply two different plastic fronts one with a
slot and one without. Yet all the pictures show a slot even on the models without optical drive.

Some aftermarket Air Coolers can perform near as well as liquid coolers, I doubt a basic cooler
provided here would perform near as well as a liquid cooler but would still provide you a basic level of
cooling allowing you to see great performance overall; however if you plan to take advantage of the
built in turbo boost capabilities of this processor you may see better performance \ higher single or
multi core frequency from a liquid cooler.

The 12700k is listed to consume a max power draw of 190w, the 1660ti is listed to consume a max of
120w being at 310 watts is a bit high for a 460w PSU given additional power consumption from the
other various peripherals, you really want to be under 50% power load for efficiency and longevity of
the power supply, I would recommend spending a couple dollars on the 750w PSU

The XPS 8950 has 2x M.2 SSD slots. The system is RAID capable for RAID0 an RAID1 setup. Dell does
not ship consumer configurations with RAID setup.
