“A prototype of a pedal type Mechanical Food Waste Shredder”
This prototype shown a model of management food waste of a school canteen by
pedal powered shredder. It used to make granule of the food. The layout of the
food waste shredder was based on ordinary impact shredder but in stead of a fixed
blade and a non-sharpened blade, the shredder had four sharp rotating blades
attached on a single shaft and dimensions which would correspond to the amount
of waste. The shredded food wastes produced had remarkably met the benchmarks
of a compost worthy waste products.
