How sandblasting is done?
The first step of sandblasting is pouring sand into the sandblasting machine. On top of sandblasting
machines is a chamber where the sand is put.
The sandblasting machine is then hooked up to a regular air compressor.
When the compressor is turned on, the sand is pushed out of a handheld nozzle. Depending on the
settings, the sand can have anywhere from 50 to 130 pounds per square inch of pressure (PSI).
How sandblasting is done?
The sand is then "blasted" across the surface. Because sand is rough, it can help make the surface
smoother.
Sandblasting is often used on things like concrete. Sandblasting is done to the concrete after it has
been poured and given time to dry.
Some of the extra stuff on the concrete is taken off during the process, which makes the concrete
smoother.
