Hoover and the Crash
I would not wait at all for the economy to fix itself. As president it is my duty to keep America
running so I would take immediate action. First, I would encourage business owners to keep their
employees, so the unemployment rate does not skyrocket. I would give emergency funds to the
business so they can keep running. Cutting taxes, I think would help as well since people are
probably going to need extra money if they are being laid off. Setting up food banks for people
would give them a helping hand as well. In the past the economy did recover but by preventing
more of a downfall I think it could shorten the crash.
