MacBook Sales Pitch
Topic: Sales pitch for Macbook by Apple
General Purpose: To inform the audience of the benefits of Apple Computers
Specific Purpose: To persuade listeners to purchase an Apple Computer
Thesis Statement: Computers are not known to include aesthetic appeal, industry leading
performance, and ease of use all into one package, but the Macbook by Apple is an exception.
I.
Introduction
A. You’re sitting in the library and it’s super quiet, then all of a sudden your fan turns on,
then after you quiet it down your computer freezes and you get a blue screen. Well with
the Macbook from Apple these two issues are eliminated.
B. Thesis: Computers are not known to include aesthetic appeal, industry leading
performance, and ease of use all into one package, but the Macbook by Apple is an
exception.
C. I have been an owner of apple products for 7 years and have assisted several family
members in friends in the purchase of their own apple products
D. I am excited to share with y'all all the benefits of owning a macbook and show how it
combines elegant design, practical features, and user friendliness
II. Body
A. Main Point 1
1. Historically computers have not been attractive pieces of machinery
a) Picture #1 & #2 of competitor laptops
b) Picture of Macbook- as you can see Apple has found a beautiful harmony
between form and function. A sleek aluminum body is accented by quality black
keys and gorgeous retina display
(1) 9 to 5 Mac said the Macbook’s, “Aluminum feels dense, strong and ready to
stand up to everyday usage.”
B. Main Point 2
1. While Apple computers do fall on the upper end of the price spectrum, they do
include a wide variety of features and qualities that place it above the competition
a) many PC computers of today have plastic shells that are subject to breaking if
dropped, combine that with a 10 hour battery life and a retina display capable of
1680p you have the perfect study, work, or play machine
(1) All of this attention to detail is important, especially to PCworld who says the
“Details count” when referring to the Macbook.
b) Many PC’s are cheaper at first glance such as the Asus Vivobook which retails or
just under $400, or the Lenovo ThinkPad 13 which retails for $600
(laptopmag.com). While the price seems appealing, they lack the processing
speed, memory, and durability of the Macbook. And this goes without
mentioning MacBooks are known for their resistance to viruses and most users
don’t even pay for an anti virus software.
C. Main Point 3
1. The Apple Macbook is an extremely user friendly computer
a) Bright displays, large buttons and frequent reminders help users get the most out
of their laptop
b) In addition if there is still confusion despite these features Apple offers numerous
free workshops as well as world renowned customer support
III. Conclusion
A. In closing I would like to remind you that the Macbook by Apple is refined and state of
the art yet incorporates unrivaled simplicity.
B. few computers look as good, work as well, and the user as happy as a Macbook
C. In closing I would like to leave you a quote from Pcworld which in the context of the
website’s name is extremely ironic. PCworld said, “Macs can leave you happier and
more productive than you would have been if you'd bought a Windows system.”
D. I encourage you next time you are using a PC computer to stop and think, ask yourself if
it is really the best option. Then consider the Macbook by Apple.
