The canned food market, which was 91.4 billion dollars in 2018, is expected to reach 124.8 billion
dollars by 2026 with an annual increase of 3.9 percent. In recent years, canned seafood and meat
products accounted for one-third of the total packaged food industry. The canning method has
become very popular as it preserves many essential nutrients.
The trade network of the canned food industry, which is divided into branches according to product
type, distribution channel, variety and region, consists of supermarkets, grocery stores, e-commerce
and other sales channels. The Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific and LAMEA are the main regions for
canned sales. So almost the whole world.
Demand for canned food rising as the number of culturally cooking women (which is certainly
wrong) and working women increases in many parts of the world. I am not saying that this is the
only reason, but since there are dozens of countries in the world where this idea is dominant, this
has accelerated the rise. In addition, the presence of factors such as health and organicity has led to
the emergence of competitors in the canned food market. The increase in people's daily work tempo
has also led to an increase in the use of the canned food industry in online shopping. The fact that
they can be used for a long time and is a fast-consuming product also supported this increase.
In our country, its main competitors are Kerevitaş (Superfresh), Tat Gıda, Fide Canton, Dardanel and
Unifo Gıda.
Its major competitors on a world basis are The Kraft Heinz Company, Bolton Group, S.r.l. , Campbell
Soup Company, Conagra Brands, Nestlé, Del Monte Foods.
Growth is highly likely to occur when the company is first established. During this growth, it is always
important not to be greedy for money and to take the right steps.
The manager should always be aware of the trend and have long and short term plans. He should
make a good risk analysis and prepare the plans to be implemented in a realistic and applicable way.
Financial planning cannot be done independently of the location. In addition, the problems that may
arise from political uncertainty should be analyzed and action should be taken in line with the
analysis.
In addition to making profit during growth, it should not be neglected to invest in R&D and
inventory. Effective growth can only be achieved in this way.
In the construction phase of the work, since we are now in the era of employee empowerment,
employees should be trusted and spaces should be created where they can express their thoughts.
Employees should not be constantly pressured to work. It should be known that this will have bad
consequences. Because of this pressure, employees can be caused in Institutional Stockholm
Syndrome and Achilles Syndrome. This affects them negatively in both social and business life.
