Surety Bond for Study Leave for Higher Studies
1.
Memorandum of Agreement between ____________________________ (Name
of the Bounder) and his/her sureties and the Lahore Garrison University through the

2.
Whereas, Mr./Ms. ______________________ (Bounder) employed as

University (hereinafter referred to as the Scholar, which expression shall include his/
heirs, successors and legal representatives) as a result of sponsoring by the Lahore
Garrison University Sector C Phase-VI, DHA, Lahore (hereinafter referred to as the
University) of the other part, has been awarded permission to proceed on leave six
months
and
above
for
higher
studies
abroad/local
in
the
field
of ________________________________________________

Now, therefore, in consideration for the said award and for the privilege
that he/she will be granted leave ___________________ (Nature of leave) during the
period of his/her training abroad, Mr./Ms._______________________ (Name of
Bounder agrees and undertakes as follows: a. He / she shall faithfully conform to and abide by the instructions issued
with regard to his/her studies by the offering country/organization during
the period of his/her Scholarship, and shall whole-heartedly and diligently
engage himself/herself in the studies, training and research work
appertaining to the Scholarship abroad/local and shall take tests and
examinations as may be prescribed.
b. Upon the completion of the term of his/her Scholarship he/she shall return
to Pakistan and serve the University for a period of One year(s) in any
suitable post of which the University shall be the sole judge and upon such
terms and conditions as the University may prescribe.
c. He/she shall confine to his/her studies in the aforesaid field and shall not
change it without prior permission of the Vice-Chancellor.
4.
In the event of the breach of any of the aforesaid terms and not arising from
his/her illness certified to the satisfaction of the University, the Scholar binds
himself/herself firmly to pay on demand (by authorities) a sum of Rs _____________
(Rupees _____________________________ ) as liquidated damages and not as penalty
to
the
University.
5.
In witness, whereof he/she produces below two sureties from the employees of
Lahore Garrison University who shall be responsible and stand bound by this agreement
and guarantee that the scholar shall perform his/her promise and in case he/she fails to do
so, the sureties shall indemnify and pay to the University the said amount in default of
payment by the Scholar.
6.
And we, the sureties below, jointly and severally agree to stand bound by this
agreement and guarantee for the performance of the agreement by Mr./Ms.

due without question and without reference to him/her.
