Republic of the Philippines Department of Environment and Natural Resources ENVIRONMETAL MANAGEMENT BUREAU EMB Building, DENR Compound, Visayas Ave., Quezon City PMPIN Checklist As per provisions of DENR A.O. 29 the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act 6969 entitled “Title II: The Management of Chemicals and Toxic Substances” the following are the requirements in compliance with the PMPIN Rules: □ Name of Philippine Company and/or Firm – Only importers or industries that are registered to manufacture in or licensed to import into the Philippines will be allowed to apply or notify. □ Substance must be defined as new chemical or fuel additive. □ Notarized and completed Abbreviated or Detailed Form o PMPIN Abbreviated: for chemicals manufactured or includes in the Inventory of USA, EU, Australia, Canada, Japan or Korea o PMPIN Detailed: for chemicals manufactured or imported from other countries not listed in PMPIN-3 □ Safety Data Sheet (SDS) □ Substantive Information of the New Chemical/Fuel Additive on: o Physical and Chemical Properties o Toxicological Information o Ecological Information □ For PMPIN Detailed, laboratory reports for the following information are required: o Physical and Chemical Properties o Toxicological Information o Ecological Information □ Specific Use of the Chemical □ Annual volume of import □ Request for Confidential Business Information (CBI) – for PMPIN application containing confidential business information. (if applicable)
