The movie The Intouchables talks about the friendship between a rich and educated patient who is paralyzed and his caretaker. The caretaker, Omar, is an immigrant and does not have the qualifications required or an interest in the position. One would expect two people who are worlds apart in terms of their background to never get along. However, as we see from the film, overtime the two of them develop a unique bond. From two contrasting starting positions their friendship emerges based on humor, witty conversation, and, mutual understanding. By watching this film, I was able to learn that no matter where we come from or what we believe, if we are open and understanding towards other people, there is opportunity for great relationships to form. I really like the landscapes from the film and thought that the cinematography was great. I liked the cast of the movie and the fact that they kept it simple.
