ELIZABETHAN ACTIVITY #1:
Before exposing students to
Shakespeare, it is essential to their
understanding that students have a
firm grasp of the Elizabethan era,
the historical context during which
Shakespeare wrote. With that said,
I’ve created an interactive activity
that utilizes technology, requires
collaboration and communication,
and demands attention.

The Task
Students will break into teams of 4. Every team will research subjects relating to life
in the Elizabethan era as distributed in class.
Use the following website – and any others you find - to investigate the categories
listed below. Provide your classmates with as much information as possible so as
to improve their understanding of the times but DO NOT REPEAT THE
INFORMATION I HAVE ALREADY PROVIDED.

Be creative and dress-up, draw pictures, bring props, stage a play, etc. Do
anything that will enhance the presentation. The best ones will be asked to
perform for “Leyendo con la Luna”

issues presented above. You will have to answer my questioning orally. Invest the required
effort into this assignment and show me the depth of your analysis and thought process in a
concise and eloquent manner.
