William Shakespeare Done by : Ahmed , Zeiad ,Tima The Elizabethan era • The term, “Elizabethan Era” refers to the English history of Queen Elizabeth I's reign (1558–1603). • The Elizabethan Era period lasted 45 years, its considered to be a time of English renaissance that inspired national pride through classical ideals, international expansion, and naval triumph. This English Renaissance saw the flowering of poetry, music and literature. Birth/marriage • On November 28, 1582, William Shakespeare, 18, and Anne Hathaway, 26, pay a 40-pound bond for their marriage license in Stratford-upon-Avon. Six months later, Anne gives birth to their daughter, Susanna, and two years later, to twins. Little is known about Shakespeare's early life. Historians believe Shakespeare was born on this day – 23rd April – in 1564, the same day he died in 1616. Although the plays of William Shakespeare may be the most widely read works in the English language, little is known for certain about the playwright himself Writing and poems • William Shakespeare had written many famous plays that are know to today's word some of them such as Romeo and Juliet,Macbeth,etc. • he wasn’t limited to one genre he has made plays about tragedy, comedy, history, etc. The globe theater • Shakespeare's Globe is a reconstruction of the Globe Theatre, an Elizabethan playqhouse for which William Shakespeare wrote his plays, in the London Borough of Southwark, on the south bank of the River Thames.
