Today friends we are going to read a story titled ​Eyes That Kiss in the
Corners​. This is the story of a girl and her eyes. As we read the story, I
want you to pay attention to what makes her eyes so special that she
writes an entire story about them.

Think-Frame-Pair-Square Activity: Students think about a prompt, use a
sentence frame and talk with a partner. Teacher allows students time to
talk with their partner to form their ideas and add on to their idea. Then
students “Square”: two pairs of students join to form a square (4 students
total) and continue discussing the prompt using the ideas from their first
partner. Afterwards, share out as a whole group.

actually going to read another story. As we read this new story, I want you to think
about how the two stories compare and contrast.
Option B: Today friends is our final day with ​Eyes That Kiss in the Corners​. Since we
know the story so well already, we are only going to page through the illustrations. As
we do this, I want you to think about what lesson the author wanted us to learn from
this story.
