Unit 2 Written Activity: Domains 1. In preparation for your final research paper, throughout weeks 2-6, fill each cell with information from the text and 3-5 other authoritative sources. Each cell should have a description of typical characteristics or milestones of development for a particular domain and age period. 2. Incorporate information from the ideas of as many of the major developmental theorists as is appropriate— e.g. Piaget, Vygotsky, Erikson, Kohlberg, and others where appropriate and as discussed in the text and in discussions as well as from other sources. 3. Wherever possible, emphasize the relevance of the developmental period to students' learning and the implications for educational practices within those areas. 4. The description in each cell or box will not exceed 100 words. Point form or listing simple phrases is OK as long as the meaning is clear. 5. The source(s) of information for each individual box should be cited within the box and then added to the reference list at the end of your research paper due in week 7. You will be expected to have 3-5 outside resources in this box that will carry over to your research paper. 6. The chart will be evaluated for accuracy, clarity, completeness, consistency, and relevance to teaching and learning. 7. Completed chart will be submitted during week 6 with your final research paper.
