Application of asphaltene:
Advanced analytical techniques have been applied to elucidate the chemophysical structure of asphaltene. Here in we provide a comprehensive review on
the application of asphaltene in different industries that include

Polymer industry :improved properties of commodity polymer.
Nanomaterial synthesis:synthesized maghamite(y-Fe2O3)and hematite (aFeO3)are used for absorption and removal of asphaltene from prepared
solution.

Composition of asphaltene:
Asphaltene consist of primarily:
 Carbon
 Oxygen
 Nitrogen
 Hydrogen
 Sulfur
As well as trace amount of Vanadium and Nickle
NOTE:
It have a molecular masses in range of 400u to 1500u, but the average and
maximum values are difficult to determine due to aggregation of the molecules in
the solution.
Uses of asphaltene:
 Asphaltene in form of asphalt or bitumen products from oil refineries are used
as paving materials on roads,shingles for roofs, and water proof coatings on
building foundation.
