Design a V Belt drive for the following data.
Drive: AC motor, operating speed is 1440rpm and operates for over 10hrs. The equipment driven
is compressor, which runs at 900rpm and required power transmission is 20kW and speed
V=25m/s, centre distance C=1500cm. Belt length is 4394mm. Given that CRS=1.2, CVL=1.04 and
CVW=0.98. Sketch 3 different types of thread profiles and outline advantages and practical
applicability of each.
