Early fault detection in automotive gearboxes has been subject under extensive analysis as to figure out the condition of the gears inside the gearbox based on the vibration analysis measured from the test rig. Vibration analysis has been the diving way to check the condition for not only the gears but for all industrial machines. So by measuring the vibration signal of gearbox we can highlight the type and severity of fault of gear inside gearbox. But the generated vibration signal is a complex signal that can be difficult to inspect fault in signal so the time domain and frequency domain solve this difficulty. However in this modern time we use the classifications techniques as they proved to be the fastest way to indicate fault in any machine easily. This paper will attempt to use classifications techniques to indicate whether the gearbox has fault inside from vibration signals and compare the accuracy between the classifications techniques in determining the results.
