The second factor in the PIE System is a social environment, it is used to describe the social institution and social systems situations that affect the social functioning and role performance abilities of people in their environmental contexts. 3. Mental health is the third component in the PIE System. Our emotional, psychological, and social well-being are all included. It also influences how we deal with stress, interacts with others, and make decisions. 4. The fourth factor in the PIE System is physical health, a person who has good physical health is likely to have bodily functions and processes working at their peak. Physical health represents one dimension of total well-being.
